Amethyst Sage Agate ~
Offered here is a gemmy cabochon of amethyst sage agate, from Nevada. This appealing example has lovely translucent purple agate, edged with frames of lavender and white. I like the criss cross of the black lines in this one, and think it has some nice jewelry potential. The stone has a low rounded dome of 5mm, and despite a few teensy surface pits, it has a great polish both front and back.
