Apache chrysocolla cab ~
Offered here is a remarkable cab of Apache chrysocolla, from Arizona's Defiance mine. I brought this home in the rough from the Quartzite shows a few years ago, but left it packed away until recently; when that first slice came out of the saw, I was sorry to have waited so long to cut it! WOW, huh? This striking stone has brilliant turquoise blues and greens (brighter and more electric than the photos show), with flecks and patches of bright red cuprite in an almost brecciated pattern. All 100% natural, not dyed or treated in any way. In my own jewelry, such bright and colorful chrysocollas just about fly out the door, so I encourage you to try some yourself. Surely you can find the perfect way to feature this attractive stone in your own creations. The cab has a well rounded dome of 5.5mm, a boldly curved designer shape, nicely polished both front and back.
