Tube onyx cab ~
Here is a designer cabochon of top quality flowering tube onyx, from Utah. This material is simply stunning in its complex and varied patterns, and this cab is a fine example. It features several intriguing bullseyes surrounded by concentric bandings, and a nice 'flower' at the large end. The orange and black colors somehow remind me of Halloween, or Autumn. Neat! This cab is sure to attract attention no matter what the season. The stone has a high rounded dome, a smooth symmetrical shape, and a fine glossy polish both front and back. However, as is typical of this material, there are a couple of hairline fractures as well as some tiny pits that are not overly distracting.
