Pauite agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Paiute agate, cut from new material from the recent digs in Southern Oregon. Yup, they're harvesting this classic agate again, hooray! This well marked example features several black dendrites swirled into a background of burnt orange and cream. I'm told the scenic pattern brings to mind leafless trees or bushes, fading into a misty background at sunset. Kinda kewl! The stone has a high rounded dome of 6mm, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
