Montana agate cab ~
Offered here is a splendid cabochon of Montana agate, cut from rough I 'found' last July in a Montana rockshop. heh It features many inky black dendrites aswirl in a translucent, almost opalescent, agate background. On the backside is a small botryoidal area that's somewhat unusual, mentioned only for accuracy's sake; I don't consider it a flaw. There's a delightful degree of depth to the layers of dendrites in this stone, though that really doesn't come across properly in the photos; I'm sure you'll be well pleased when you see it in person. The cab has a low but well rounded dome of 4+mm, and a brilliant 'wet ice' polish both front and back.
