Crazy lace agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon cut from top shelf Mexican crazy lace agate. This cab is a wondrous example, featuring a pleasantly ornate pattern in vivid crimson, with pastels of pink, coral, blue-gray, white and beige. The flowery figure pretty much runs the gamut, including fortification banding, lacy scallops, tubes, orbs and tiny bullseyes, and a couple druzy areas. Toward the tip, at the edge in the third photo, you'll notice a small crystalline void, mentioned only for accuracy; another view from the back illustrates its nature, and that it will be concealed by most any setting. This one is truly a remarkable beauty! The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 5.5mm, a boldly crisp designer shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
