Chrysoprase cab ~
Offered here is a sweet cabochon of Australian chrysoprase from a newly discovered find near Yerilla, Australia. Like the old Marlboro material, it's a gemmy chalcedony colored by the presence of nickel in a beautifully feminine shade of sea green. This particular example shows a decent degree of translucence, with the added interest of a small fortification in clear and milky agate at the squared end. This stone has a low but nicely rounded dome of 4mm, a 'bullet' shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
