Pietersite cab ~
Offered here is a fancy cabochon of premium Chinese pietersite. This magnificent stone has a brecciated appearance, with each 'piece' showing its own direction of chatoyance. The color is predominately a deep coppery red, with highlights of brilliant gold, and areas where the two colors blend into a beautiful coral hue. I particularly like this stone's satiny swirls that seem to shift and change from every angle, which very much remind me of gem ammolite. Please be sure to click the pics to enlarge them to full size to see the fine details of the cab. It has a high rounded dome of 7mm, and a fine glassy polish both front and back. And for a stone of this quality, my per carat price is a genuine bargain!
