Montana agate cab ~
Offered here is a dramatic and unusual cabochon of Montana agate, which as you may know, is a great favorite around here, one that I truly love to cut. This colorful example features a pattern of extraordinary bands afloat in a translucent, almost opalescent, milky agate background. The cab has a low but well rounded dome just over 3mm, which is a bit thinner than I prefer, but works fine for this one, and a brilliant 'wet ice' polish both front and back.
