Black tube agate cab ~
Offered here is a collectible cabochon of black tube agate, something you certainly won't see often. I don't know where the material hails from, but it's certainly an amazing stone, featuring very well defined tube structures with lacy light gray edges. It's very translucent, as illustrated by the backlit photo, and has beautifully contrasting colors of orange, brown, smoky gray and black agate. The closer you look, the more it becomes apparent that there's quite a lot going on in this one, so be sure to click to enlarge the pics. The cab has a high rounded dome of 6mm, a crisp designer 'almond' shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
