Morrisonite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of morrisonite jasper, from Oregon's Morrison Ranch digs. This RARE material is the most sought after member of the porcelain jasper family, hailed by many as the king of jaspers. This example has an almost brecciated pattern in several shades of blue with a bit of gold and cream. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6+mm, a versatile designer 'almond' shape, and despite the presence of a very small void low on one edge, it has a slick glassy polish both front and back.
