Montana agate cab ~
Offered here is a truly unusual cabochon of Montana tube agate, cut by my dear Rain, from rough we 'found' in a Montana rockshop recently. heh Yup, it really was plucked from the Yellowstone River, not too far from Sidney, believe it or not, though it hasn't much in the way of the classic inky black dendrites; just a bit of pepper. It does have fortification bandings, and an amazingly abundant display of tubes. The bullseyes are of various shapes and sizes, and quite well defined, making this one collectibly unique. The background agate is very translucent, in pleasantly warm honey-amber shades. Backlit, it is absolutely stupendous, but shows off its assets nicely regardless. It has a high rounded dome of 7+mm, and a brilliant 'wet ice' polish both front and back.
Size: 39x31mm
Weight: approximately 61 carats
