Biggs Jasper cab ~
Offered here is a very special collector's cabochon of Biggs jasper, from Oregon. This unique stone is an example of rare opalized material, richly colorful in creamy reddish browns and tans, as well as a nice scattering of jet black dendrites. Viewed with a bit of imagination, the pattern captured within the stone is quite spectacularly scenic, resembling a tree surrounded by smaller foliage against a backdrop of rolling hills. It's so vivid and artistic, it almost appears painted! Definitely one in a million. Whoever winds up with this beauty will surely have a hard time parting with it, as I am now. It has a generously high and well rounded dome of 7+mm, a designer 'paisley' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
