Imperial cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Imperial jasper, from Mexico. This wonderful species of porcelain jasper is always a crowd pleaser, and happily, it takes an excellent glassy shine. This example has a unique pattern in soft minty greens with subtle undertones of blue, along with a bit of a translucence. It would be equally beautiful set in either silver or gold, no doubt. The stone has a high rounded dome of nearly 6mm, a bold designer shape, and it is polished to a glassy brilliance both front and back.
