Deschutes jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Deschutes jasper, from Oregon. A long time favorite in the celebrated family of porcelain jaspers, this classic old material has become quite collectibly rare these days. This cabochon features an unusual pattern in rich earthy tones of ochre, rich reddish brown, and charcoal gray. I really like the odd orb, something seldom found in this jasper. It has a low but well rounded dome of 4mm, a versatile shape that works well with the jasper's pattern, and it is polished both front and back.
