Offered here is a primo cabochon of Priday polka dot agate, which hails from Oregon. This grand old material is a real treat to work with, when you can find it, and never fails to cut extraordinary stones. This fine example has a uniquely attractive pattern and coloration all its own, showing lovely red orbs with darker maroon centers that have an unusual metallic sheen. The stone is cut in a boldly crisp shape that compliments the pattern nicely, with a low rounded dome of 4+mm, and a brilliantly glassy polish both front and back.
