Montana agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Montana agate, cut from a Yellowstone River agate found years ago. This particular piece was part of an old stash of rough nodules I lucked into this past summer, and each one has had something gorgeous inside. This example has interesting fortification banding in both a brilliant orange carnelian color and inky black, against a background of nearly water clear agate. It's especially attractive held to the light, as illustrated by the backlit photo, and will look magnificent in an open backed setting. It has a nicely rounded dome of about 4mm, a sleek designer shape, and a glassy polish both front and back.
