Carnelain agate cab ~
Offered here is a fancy cabochon of banded carnelian agate, from Brazil. This vibrant stone features strong banding in juicy reddish-orange and yellowish-orange alternating with white and clear agate. The bands are so fine that backlighting reveals a good degree of irising; if the stone were cut thinner, there would be rainbows. But backlit or not, it's a beauty! The cab has a low rounded dome of 5mm, a sweet designer shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
