Turquoise ~
Offered here is a cabochon of spiderweb turquoise, probably from Arizona, if I had to hazard a guess. It features nice turquoise-blue coloration, along with patches of gray, dark brown and black matrix. No doubt the material has been stabilized by a hardening process, as is most modern turquoise, but I don't believe it has been subjected to artificial coloring of any kind. It cut like a dream, and will wear wonderfully, without turning green over the years. The cab has a well rounded dome of 5+mm, and a slick glossy polish both front and back.
