Biggs Jasper cab ~
Offered here is a large and deluxe cabochon of Biggs jasper, from Oregon. A long time favorite in the celebrated family of porcelain jaspers, this classic material has become quite collectibly rare and spendy these days. This scenic example has ribbony bands of rich golden browns and creamy tans, along with a nice group of jet black dendrites that quite resemble an old spreading oak tree. It has a well rounded dome of just over 5mm, a fat teardrop shape that frames the pattern wonderfully, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
