Chrysocolla malachite cab ~
Offered here is a 100% natural cabochon of chrysocolla and malachite, from Arizona. I do believe there's also at least some ajoite present in the mix too. The colors are very vivid and striking, with threads and patches of electric blue, and green/blue shot through like spiderwebbing in an whitish translucent quartz-based background. The quartz takes on an attactive rusty reddish orange toward the large end, adding even more color. Happily, this is very hard, gemmy material, which means it's durable enough for everyday wear for years to come. Definitely yummy stuff that makes fantastic jewelry! The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, with a brilliant glass-smooth finish both front and back.
