Tigereye cab ~
Offered here is an extraordinary cabochon of variegated tigereye, cut from premium old stock material which hails from Africa. This one has an excellent degree of chatoyant brilliance, with multiple rows of strong shimmering flash in midnight blue and bright golden yellow. The silky gleam dances to life as the stone is turned. At one side is a bit of ironstone matrix with flecks of dark shiny hematite, as well as a few more flecks at the other side. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6.5mm, and it is polished to a glassy brilliance both front and back.
