Polka dot agate cab ~
Offered here is a primo cabochon of Priday polka dot agate, which hails from Oregon. This grand old material is a real treat to work with, when you can find it, and never fails to cut extraordinary stones. This fine example lacks the typical dots, but it certainly has a uniquely attractive pattern and coloration all its own, and viewed with a bit of imagination, it's rather scenic. Rain says she thinks it looks like a signal fire in a deep gorge, with a lone tall tree. It's cut in a crisp symmetrical shape that compliments the pattern nicely, with a well rounded dome of 5+mm, and a brilliantly glassy polish both front and back.
