Wave Hill agate cab ~
Offered here is a gorgeous cab of Wave Hill agate, from Australia's Northern Territory. It's not often that a 'new' material becomes an instant favorite of mine, but this exceptional agate won my heart straight away. Everyone who sees it is impressed! When Terry Maple spied these agates at this year's Tucson show, he bought the entire lot! Bless his heart for sending some fine little nodules home for me to enjoy! Please take a good look at the details in this stone and you'll see why I'm so excited about this world class agate. It has vividly contrasting fortification banding in reddish orange and pale pink, along with some neat outlined orbs. Towards the central core the pale pink bands change to yellowish orange, and the very center seems suspended within the rings. Yes indeedy, this delightful agate has all the right stuff. The uniqueness of each Wave Hill agate makes it a lapidary's fantasy, a collector's MUST HAVE, and I have no doubt it'll be a jewelry designer's best friend. It's YUMMY, and then some! This cab has a neat designer shape you'll have fun with, a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
