Luna agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of collectibly rare luna agate, from Mexico. This old favorite material is no longer easy to find like it was years ago, and this cab is a worthy example. It's not loaded with orbs, but I'm sure you'll agree it does make the most of those it has, showing a lot of detailed banding and an interesting contrast. I've heard the lovely purple color of luna agate is at least partially due to the presence of fluorite, and indeed, the tip of the stone is a very transparent lavender gel, containing a few odd inclusions. The stone has a very high rounded dome of nearly 7mm, a bold designer shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
