Botswana agate cab ~
Offered here is a large and dramatic cabochon of Botswana agate, from Africa. This has got to be one of the most splendid Botswana agates I've ever had the pleasure of cutting. The intricate pattern of fortification bandings is totally WILD, and the gorgeous rosy hues shading out from the center make this one truly top notch. It's a show stopper with contrast and impact by the trainload, a real keeper if ever there was one. The last photo reveals the warm honey colored translucence of the stone when backlit. This one will certainly 'speak' well in your jewelry creations, whatever your plans for it, in even the simplest of settings. It has a nicely rounded dome of 6.5+mm and a graceful designer teardrop shape, and it is polished to a glassy brilliance both front and back. The only imperfection I can find is a single teensy hairline feather, of less than 1/16 of an inch, that plays peekaboo; no distraction atall.
