Wave Hill agate cab ~
Offered here is a large, deluxe cab of Wave Hill agate, from Australia's Northern Territory. It's not often that a 'new' material becomes an instant favorite of mine, but this exceptional agate won my heart straight away. Everyone who sees it is impressed! When Terry Maple spied these agates at this year's Tucson show, he bought the entire lot! Bless his heart for sending some fine little nodules home for me to enjoy! Please take a good look at the details in this stone and you'll see why I'm so excited about this world class agate. It has bold fortification banding in contrasting shades of rose pink and white, darkening to a lovely burgundy in places, with several scallops and orbs in a pleasing blue gray color. The crystalline core bearly peeks out on the front, revealing itself further on the backside. Yes indeedy, this agate has all the right stuff. Believe me when I say there will be plenty of these appealing little beauties in my own personal collection, and in my Christmas jewelry too, for sure. The uniqueness of each Wave Hill agate makes it a lapidary's fantasy, a collector's MUST HAVE, and I have no doubt it'll be a jewelry designer's best friend. This gorgeous gem is a bargain at well under $2 per carat. It's YUMMY, and then some! It has a high rounded dome of 7+mm, a versatile shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
