Variscite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of gemmy variscite, from Utah. This is a terrific example of fine old stock material that's become rather scarce these days. It features cool green 'globes' of various sizes in a creamy white matrix, giving this stone the classic spiderweb pattern. And those green areas are at least partially translucent. I think the rich green color of the variscite is something a computer monitor cannot do proper justice to, really, but the pics give you the idea; it's one nice stone! It'd be an excellent addition to any collection, or inspire you to create the perfect setting to turn it into wearable art. The stone has a very high rounded dome of nearly 7mm, and it is polished both front and back.
