Offered here is a large cabochon of rhodochrosite, from Catamarca, Argentina. Not easy to come by like it once was, last I heard, the price of rough from this classic location is strictly controlled by the Argentinian goverment. This delicious cab features various shades of rose-pink in a banded zig-zagging pattern, with a great degree of sparkling crystalline translucence. It's a beauty you'll surely treasure! The stone has a high rounded dome of 6.5mm, and a gleaming polish both front and back.
