Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is cabochon of old stock ocean jasper, some of the first to arrive from Madagascar. The colors are mostly shades of green, in a pattern I think of as 'dragon skin'. Down one side is a distinctive stripe of snow white with a freckly edge, and at the other side is just a hint of pink and peach. The pointed end is surprisingly translucent. This substantial stone has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a crisp designer shape, and despite a couple teensy pits on the reverse side, it has a fine glassy polish both front and back.
