Imperial cab ~
Offered here is a splendid cabochon of classic Imperial jasper, from Mexico. This is yet another member of the fine grained porcelain jasper family I love so much. This stone is a study in shades of pastels of reddish-pink, featuring patterns that pretty much defy any written description. But I do have this to say about this very special stone: Rain claims she sees an angel with long hair and flowing robes, uplifted arms outstretched. Our son, Chris, sees it too, and calls the figure a goddess. Cool!! The stone has a generously high rounded dome of 8mm, a bold designer 'shield' shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
