Agua Neuva agate cab ~
Offered here is an unusual cabochon of Agua Neuva agate, from Mexico. I like this material even more than its long prized and famous cousin, Laguna agate. This cabochon features pools of lavender amethystine agate with lovely fortification banding, alongside contrasting mossy figure in gold and red. A couple of the agate 'hearts' contain sparkling druzy crystals, only one of which breaks the surface. Simply GORGEOUS! The stone has a high rounded dome of 6.5mm, a crisp designer shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back. For accuracy, I do need to mention some areas of pinpoint pitting on the backside, though it's nothing detracting.
