Malachite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of malachite, from Zaire. It features the classic beauty of countless fine bandings in rich, vividly contrasting shades of light and dark green. Some areas show a bit of chatoyance, very much like that seen in a satin ribbon. This one will look absolutely magnificent set in either silver or gold, no doubt. The cab has a generously high rounded dome of 7+mm, a long and gracefully curved designer shape, with a super glossy polish both front and back. Under a buck a carat, I must be
