Burro Creek agate ~
Offered here is a fabulous cabochon of Burro Creek agate, from Arizona. This splendid example is top notch, by far the gemmiest I've ever had to offer. If you ask me, it has even more appeal than Nevada's amethyst sage agate! The darker areas are a rich purple gel, very translucent. In it are what looks like brecciated pieces of jasper that's a lovely pastel shade of lavender. Other areas show swirling clouds, or razor fine lines, accompanied by some tiny black dendrites. Beautifully unusual and unique, you betcha! If you like purple stones for your creations, this one has your name on it. -grin- This cab has a rounded dome of nearly 6mm, a gracefully sleek designer shape, and a brilliant glassy polish both front and back.
Size: 59x22mm
Weight: approximately 51 carats
