Moss opalite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of moss opalite, from Australia, also known as dendritic opalite. This unusual form of opal features a background of lovely mustard yellow with an intricate display of black spidery dendrites. I've set this material in both gold and silver with beautiful results, but I think the contrast of a silver mounting would show it off best. Of course, that's for you to decide! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a designer 'bullet' shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
