Malachite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of malachite, from Zaire. It features the classic beauty of countless fine bandings in rich, vividly contrasting shades of light and dark green, with some odd figures that resembles tiny bubbles on a string. Some areas show a bit of chatoyance, very much like that seen in a satin ribbon. Plenty of character and appeal in this one, folks, it's designer heaven! This one will look fabulous set in either silver or gold, or whatever mounting you dream up. The cab has a very high rounded dome of 6.5mm, a boldly crisp designer shape, with a super glossy polish both front and back. Under a buck a carat for top notch malachite? I gotta be nuts!
