Bruneau jasper cab ~
Offered here is a delightful cabochon of Bruneau Canyon jasper, from Idaho. It features an attractive pattern of partial orbs (that reminds me of something best left unsaid, heh), one in front of the other, in shades of creamy peach, against a burnt orange body. There's just a touch of translucency present too, typical of the best of this fine porcelain jasper. Sadly, it's becoming alarmingly scarce and spendy these days. Bruneau jasper takes an outrageously glassy polish, and when it's nicely patterned like this cab is, it is much sought after by collectors and designers alike. The stone has a nicely rounded dome of nearly 6mm, and a fun designer shape, perfectly polished both front and back.
