Carnelian sard cab ~
Offered here is a bold cabochon of carnelian sard, legendary for being 'a stone of courage' in Roman
times. This agate treasure is a fabulous example, featuring awesome wavy bands of vivid orange and yellow
alternating with white and clear. There's also the merest hint of tiny bullseyes present in the deepest orange at one edge; those become much more apparent when backlit. This collectibly
gorgeous stone is totally natural, NOT dyed or otherwise enhanced like some that I've seen.
It'll be grand in either silver or gold, no matter how simple or intricate the setting. The cab has a low
rounded dome of nearly 4mm, and designer 'catseye' shape, polished to a brilliant,
glassy perfection both front and back.
