Lake Superior agate cab ~
Offered here is a fancy designer cabochon of Minnesota's State Gem, Lake Superior agate. This highly collectible agate sure cuts a fascinating stone! This one's an excellent example, showing the wonderful banding so typical of prize lakers, in shades of orange with white. I do need to mention the presence of some weird streaks in the stone, but it is solid nonetheless; any odd hairlines are quite well healed. Great rough for cabs like this doesn't often come my way, so if you love Lakers, grab this beauty! The stone has a low but nicely rounded dome, a sleek shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
