Dinosaur bone cab ~
Offered here is a splendid cabochon of Utah's fossilized dinosaur bone, from Utah. This highly silicated material is many millions of years old, a marvelous example of the natural preservation of our earth's ancient, extinct 'thunder lizards'. The cells in this fossil bone have been completely replaced with agate, in one of my most favorite color combinations, blood red, burnt yellow, and black. Some of the cells toward the round end are translucent too. No doubt it'll create a fabulous item jewelry that is literally a piece of the past! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 5.5mm, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
