Montana agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Montana agate, cut from Yellowstone River agate found long ago. This particular piece was part of an old stash I lucked into this past summer, and it really is a unique rarity. It's nearly water clear, with several black ribbons that are actually composed of teensy dendritic dots arranged in tight rows, and some lovely carnelian orange patches to set it off. It's especially attractive held to the light, as illustrated by the backlit photo, and will look magnificent in an open backed setting. It has a nicely rounded dome, a designer 'paisley' shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
